The Consortium of Asia Pasific Education Universities (CAPEU) consists of 21 Universities with 3 partner universities/Centres (Australia, Europe and USA). The first step of the MoU is to facilitate interconnection among member countries. As such, the consortium opens its doors for academicians and experts in holding the inaugural conference in special education in Syiah Kuala University, Darulsalam Banda Aceh, Indonesia. This honour is dedicated to the special needs people. Since the inception for the recognition of special needs people, many changes had and have been taking place. Hence this conference is the platform to stimulate and address teh challanges of the current status in special education, to calibrate the stages in special education, and to create oppotunities for all to promote the latest findings and form networking to futher enhance diversification in special education.
